May You See It Sit
And may you not miss it
like you did this past Christmas,
and somehow even year round,
in the pear tree, the partridge.
That is, if only,
such a sitting bird
would have time
for such a seat to find
so to help an eyewitness.
Meantime,
time is swiftly time. And
soon enough
you see the pear tree again bend
suddenly,
and then at the bouncing branch
all is empty with nothing to see.
Yes, time flies.
Such a cliché.
But open the eyes, at the heart.
And soon again,
you shall see,
if only you believe,
to know and to see Love,
ever perched,
and to just let it gloriously be
that which stays
despite all that flies away.
“Meantime, time is swiftly time….” great line!
