Damian Mercer ~ LOVE AND TIME INTERTWINED

LOVE AND TIME INTERTWINED

The past never thought the present could

be such a gift,

nor did the future predict I would forfeit to this pretty

woman’s kiss,

never did the future guess that this woman would happily

live in my skin,

settle in my mind,

be the first in the heart hotel to check -in

never did the future see her followed by the

most romantic high,

never did I think I would fall in love with that vein under her

right eye,

and though the future never anticipated such a thing to

happen,

each moment in the present was filled with love, joy, and

passion,

thinking all these cherished moments we grasp would last

forever,

never thinking our grip would loosen when the past tears us

apart from each other,

all those little memories falling behind in these

never ending tracks of thought,

the past creates a never ending distance,

with each longer distance crossed

it feels another loving memory is lost,

more and more does it feel that this distant feeling will never

end,

more and more does it makes me feel as if I will never see

her again,

this loneliness slowly engulfs my whole beating heart,

spreading ever more quickly the farther we are apart,

and as the darkness nearly swallows my whole mind,

through the past I see a warm embracing shine,

I can see the present arriving, oh what it is to be alive!

I can feel its warmth and receive

its precious gift,

the presence of my woman

and her sweet loving kiss.
